New to the area, and not sure what all Carowinds has to offer? We can help.  Carowinds is a Cedar Fair Amusement Park. It includes the amusement park and is home to two of the tallest steel roller coasters in North America. Carowinds also includes Carolina Harbor, it's water park, lots of entertainment options like live shows, character meet and greets and kid's dance parties. Located at the park is Camp Wilderness, Carowinds' RV park.


The amusement park has a total of 13 roller coasters and ranks as the fifth in the world for having the most roller coasters in one park. Each roller coaster offers a unique experience from tame to thrilling. The amusement park has something to offer everyone from the shyest youngsters to thrill seeking adults.  


Carolina Harbor is the water park located at Carowinds. This massive water park offers everything from giant water slides to wave pools to play structures. You can rent cabanas that have a min-fridge, and satellite TV.  Entry into Carolina Harbor is included with your Carowinds Tickets and season pass holders get to enter into the water park an hour before other park visitors, allowing you to find the perfect chair location.


Camp Wilderness is open year around and offers both cabins and RV sites. This park is located right behind Carowinds. You can catch a free shuttle to the amusement park, during operating days, a swimming pool is open from Memorial Day through Labor Day, bath houses, shuffle board and corn hole, and 24 hour security. 

On July 4th, Carowinds hosts an annual fireworks show that starts at 9:30.  The rides in the Thrill Zones are closed during the fireworks exhibit.

Carowinds is open from Memorial Day until Labor Day. In addition, Carowinds offers two unique experiences.  SCarowinds, which is their annual Halloween festival. During this time the park is filled with zombies and monsters walking the grounds trying to scare even the toughest visitor. The park operates several haunted houses located throughout the park. The suggested age to attend is 13 years old. 


Carowinds turns into a winter wonderland at the end of November and through December. Offering a tree lighting for their 70 foot tree, holiday music with strolling performers, artisan shops, various entertainment shows and ice skating. 

Carowinds offers something for everyone, almost year around. With all that Carowinds has to offer, getting a season pass is a worthwhile investment.
